Chinook Hydrogen

Our suite of proprietary technologies has been developed over decades of intensive research, which led to over 200 granted patents. Each of these innovations has been designed to redefine the boundaries of waste-to-energy conversion. From harnessing the untapped value of waste to pioneering new pathways for cleaner energy, our technological solutions stand as a testament to our commitment to a greener future.

Super Green Hydrogen

Chinook technology produces uniquely SuperGreenHydrogen. It is super green as the hydrogen is produced with a negative carbon footprint, and levelized cost of hydrogen that is lower than the global hydrogen communities target by 2050 of $1.50 USD/Kg. This means that our hydrogen production actively reduces existing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It's a game-changer in the energy sector, offering a cleaner, more sustainable energy solution.

Molecular Recycling

At the heart of Chinook Technology, is the Molecular Recycling Concept pioneered by Chinook. The concept composed of heuristics and data that interacts with the RODECS® system to identify the valuables within the waste and adjust the overall process operation boundaries and operational limits to enable the recovery of these valuables individually (the “Molecular Recycling System”). The Molecular RecyclingSystem applies to the chemical and thermal process in the RODECS® system and contribute to minimise the potential damages to the waste valuables from the combined chemical and thermal reactions.

Active Hydropyrolysis

The Chinook Active Hydropyrolysis concept is a unique design and inventive step in the RODECS® system which intensifies and prioritises certain chemical reactions in the RODECS® system to maximise the production of various gaseous elements from the waste (“Active Hydropyrolysis”). Active Hydropyrolysis uses the Molecular Recycling System to receive the boundaries and limits to determine and alter the thermal treatment to actively enhance the heat and mass transfer from the solid or liquid waste to Syngas.

Hydrogen Intelligence

The Chinook Hydrogen Intelligence system stands as the world's first intelligent supervisory system that seamlessly integrates and synchronizes the operation of various processes within the plant. Using real-time data, this system continuously evaluates the plant's operational status, making forecasts to chart the most efficient operational path. It's a testament to our commitment to innovation and efficiency.

  • Chinook’s primary focus is the transformation of waste into an ultra-clean energy solution by producing Super Green fuels that cause a net reduction in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The objective is to augment the electrolysis technology with Super Green fuel, that are commercially attractive TODAY to accelerate the global transition to cleaner and greener energy sources.

  • Chinook boasts over 24 years’ experience in the development, design, and installation of commercial plants that convert waste to value. Chinook has over 300 thousand operating hours processing a wide range of waste materials including residential, commercial, and industrial wastes. Throughout this time the process has recovered hydrogen-rich syngas, energy, and solid valuables (including metals, activated carbon, and biochar) from waste,

  • Chinook has developed, designed, installed and maintained 18 commercial RODECS systems across four continents, showcasing unrivalled deep expertise in deploying the technology and scaling operations.

  • Chinook has developed Best Operating Practice (BOP) in technology deployment, plant employee training modules, and post-installation maintenance packages. These BOP packages have been refined over 24 years of technology deployment and plant installations. Various degrees of support are available that are tailored to the plant and customer requirements.

  • Active HydroPyrolysis is our patented process that maximizes the recovery of hydrogen molecules from waste. It's an enhanced HydroPyrolysis process that uses forward-looking intelligent processes to maximize solid-gas mass and heat transfer processes with organic waste. This process is central to our waste-to-energy conversion, ensuring optimal efficiency and sustainability.

  • The Chinook Hydrogen Intelligence System is the world's first intelligent supervisory system that synchronizes the operation of various processes. It uses real-time data to evaluate plant operational status, continuously forecasting the most profitable operation by charting the optimum operational path according to plant’s owner objectives, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability.

  • SuperGreen Fuel is produced as a result of adopting Molecular Recycling concept using the built-in RODECS Active HydroPyrolysis process and the plant wide Hydrogen Intelligence system. This Super Green fuel not only offers a cleaner energy solution but also has a negative carbon footprint, reducing existing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

  • Our production of SuperGreen Fuels through the combination of Super Green hydrogen, renewable carbon dioxide and renewable Nitrogen from waste provides industry-leading investor returns, ensuring that the production process is both sustainable and cost-effective. This approach supports the broader transition to net zero emissions.

  • The use of SuperGreen Hydrogen is crucial for decarbonizing high-energy, high-temperature intensity industries where renewables might fall short. Industries such as global shipping, chemical production, cement, and steel can benefit immensely from our SuperGreen Hydrogen, contributing strongly and more effectively to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

  • Chinook Hydrogen is actively involved in facilitating the ramp-up of low carbon hydrogen production at scale, allowing our customers to transition to net zero and accelerate towards Net Zero Emissions. Our SuperGreen Fuels technology provides a credible and proven route to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with the ambitious targets set by the Paris Agreement.
