UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero Visits Chinook Hydrogen

On Wednesday, 22nd May, Chinook Hydrogen welcomed 14 staff members from the UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero at our Nottingham headquarters. The visit aimed to provide insight into Chinook’s pioneering hydrogen-from-waste technology, crucial for shaping policies that promote gasification and pyrolysis as integral components of the UK's low carbon hydrogen production strategy.

The event was highly positive, with support from Toyota UK, who provided a hydrogen coach to transport our guests to and from our demonstration unit. This collaboration underscores the growing recognition of hydrogen as a key player in achieving net-zero goals.

With the UK general election set for July 4th, both the Conservative and Labour parties are strongly advocating for hydrogen solutions, highlighting the bipartisan support for this clean energy technology.
